System Description
Incorporating Folsom's Athena proprietary
high performance image processing technology, New video
scaler. This unit features SDI, DVI, Composite and RGBHV
inputs and is capable of handling both standard and high
definition formats. Also accommodates 4x3 format as well
as 16x9. This unit is used to change/scale one video
resolution to another video resolution. While this unit
can be used to switch between inputs it is not ideal for
video. The purpose of this unit is to scale a video to
appropriate resolution so that it can be sent to a true
switcher. (Think of it as a DI box for video. It changes
to signal to a format which the ‘audio board’, in this
case the video switcher, can accommodate.)
Features
Thanks to Barco's high performance image processing
technology, the ImagePRO-3G is a high-performance
video scaler, scan converter, switcher and transcoder
all rolled into one. ImagePRO is the ideal solution
for converting RGB, HDTV, component, s-video,
composite (NTSC, PAL and SECAM) and HD/SDI video into
a user-selectable video format. The ImagePRO includes
four video outputs and three universal inputs, as well
as a dedicated genlock BNC connector.

The
Great Technology War: LCD vs. DLP If you are new to
the world of digital projectors, you won't have to shop around the
market very long before discovering that "LCD" and "DLP" somehow
refers to two different kinds of projectors. You might not even
know what LCD and DLP are before asking the obvious question
"which one is better?"
Want a really BIG SCREEN...then use a LCD/DLP projector and
connect your computer or even an VHS player/recorder (used as a TV
tuner) and project pictures or presentations up to 15 feet by 20
feet. (can go larger)
